This will be my first year as
Director/Teacher at Little FOLCS Preschool.
I have subbed for the preschool in the past and I am thrilled to
take on this new role at such an exceptional place.
My experiences and love for children have
been both formal and informal. I
was a Sunday school teacher for a period of ten years developing lessons
and instructing children Kindergarten through second grade. I
also spent six months in
South
Africa
assisting at the Fountain of Life Preschool there.
I mainly taught first grade level Zulu children the English
alphabet and aided in the editing process of their preschool curriculum.
In more recent years I have been on a team of youth group
leaders, where I have had the opportunity to organize trips and lessons,
counsel, and befriend students anywhere from 7th - 12th grade.
Last May, I was able to attain my
Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at
Northern
Illinois
University
.
Since then I have been working at the
Outreach
Community
Center
in
Carol
Stream
and at
Pleasant
Hill
Elementary
School
in
District 200. In both
places, I have had the opportunity to work with a diverse population.
I am very excited to
start this new year at Little FOLCS Preschool.
It is my heart to help every child succeed to their maximum
